A simple knit heart that’s incredibly versatile. It’s knitted on the diagonal so there are only ever two yarn ends to sew in, and only uses simple knit stitches, increases and decreases.

This pattern can be used to knit either a flat, single layer heart or a puffy, stuffed heart by sewing 2 mini hearts together and stuffing them with a little of the remaining yarn.

It’s so quick and easy to make, but it can be used for so many different things! A plain heart makes a great pocket hug, Valentine gift, card insert, bowl filler, wedding favour or table confetti. With a few simple additions, it can also be a keyring charm, Christmas tree ornament or even a dish scrubby. Finally, you can thread multiple hearts onto a string for a romantic or festive garland!
