This simple project is great for all ages and sizes. The poncho can be worn as an outer garment or as an alternative for a jumper. I have knitted it in two colours but it could equally well be knitted in a plain colour. A great factor is that there are no buttonholes as the buttons go through the spaces in the mock cable.

It is easy to wear and the only decision is which of the gaps to put your head through.
