Versatile Ribbed Hat
*** This listing is for the knit PDF pattern and not the actual physical item.***
I designed this hat for “The Kindness of Strangers” Chemo cap making event. This event benefits cancer patients in treatment who may have lost some or all of their hair. You can find information regarding the group and the event at: https://kindnessofstrangersnova.com/our-events
This hat is very versatile and can be made with or without a pom! It can be worn with the brim folded up or left down. IN addition, it can be worn as a slouchy hat or shortened and made as a beanie. It is a great stretchy, uisex pattern!
I have personally been affected by cancer 5 times- yes----5! I am currently in treatment for Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. This is my 3rd bout with breast cancer. I am a pattern designer, thriver, and homeschool mom to two small kids. Things can be challenging at times. I hope that you will rise to the challenge and make a few hats to send to this wonderful cause. Also, feel free to use my pattern to donate hats to your local cancer center. Be sure to label them with a size- and maybe even a little note of encouragement. THANK YOU!
