It’s a placemat. Or work it with multiple strands and keep going until it’s a rug. Or work it with one strand and keep going until it’s a baby blanket. It’s anything you want it to be. Mix and match with other patterns in the eBook.

This pattern is marked intermediate. Advanced stitches are a back loop only single crochet, a knot stitch, an optional reverse single crochet and a special turning corner. There is a photo tutorial at the end of the pattern for the turning corner.

Used: 4 skeins, 2280 yards (2084.8 meters), 1360 grams

Note – You can use as many strands held together as you wish for the desired thickness of the rug. If you use more strands then you will need more fiber. You can use any weight of yarn that you desire – this will affect the size of your rug. The more strands of yarn you hold togther, the larger your hook. The larger your project, the more yarn it will require.

Gauge
There is no gauge for this pattern. Desired size of a place mat should be approximately 13 in tall by 19 in wide (33 cm wide by 48.3 cm tall). Variations of this are acceptable.
