Versteck
Versteck is a unisex cowl with Icord edges, suitable for any age. Warm and cosy, Versteck is the perfect anytime accessory to combat a chill - and as it works up so quickly, why not have one to match every outfit!
Knit in stocking stitch from the bottom up in the round, using King Cole Merino Blend Aran (or equivalent aran weight yarn), Versteck utilises a simple slip stitch pattern that in combination with two colours of yarn grows into an intricate-looking basket weave pattern, but with only one colour of yarn used on each row. The pattern is easy enough for a beginner wanting to challenge themselves and add to their skills, but still provides plenty of interest for the more advanced knitter. The pattern as written produces a cosy neck-hugging cowl with no ease, but is easily adjustable to add as much ease as you may require.
Using less than 100g of aran weight yarn, Versteck makes the perfect project to use up all those little odds and ends in your stash. Try using a light coloured background with colour-popping contrast colours, or a monochromatic colour palette - Versteck is a versatile pattern that will look fantastic however you choose to work it, and makes a perfect gift with maximum impact!
Instructions are provided in both written and charted format, and the pattern has been professionally tech edited.
