This crochet pattern is for a menswear sweater, with rib texture stitch and (optional) colour stripes. It is made with aran yarns and a 6mm crochet hook, so it works up fast. The finished tension is soft and very comfortable to wear.

The front and back are made sideways, flat and in one piece, with one seam. The collar is added directly to the body. Sleeves are made separately and sewn on. As it is an oversized shoulder, there is minimal shaping in the body. Sleeves do taper to a nice fit around the wrist.

There is a lot of stretch in the finished item, so the sizing is only approximate.
