This is the easiest heavy winter-weight blanket you will ever loom-knit, requiring none of the things that discourage large blankets on knitting looms.

There will be no measuring, no row-counting, no stitching together, no bulky blanket sitting on your lap, no turning of the loom, no crazy-wide loom that’s unwieldy to work with.

This blanket design gives vertical contrasting stripes, unusual for knitted blankets, and uses the simple 2-row garter stitch pattern that every beginner loom knitter learns.

Yes, there are panels for color separation, using no more than 33 pegs on the KB Multi-Knit Loom with Jumbo Pegs, and the panels are joined together as you knit them in a smooth 2-stitch process on Peg 1.

As the blanket grows in size it sits off to your right, out of the way. You can easily make it as long as you want, as wide as you want, and the same design benefits apply.

The pattern uses Super Bulky Size 6 yarn, but it’s the unique Jumbo Pegs that give a larger stitch and the soft drape you want in a blanket. Flexee Chunky gauge won’t do, the stitches are too tight for its gauge and pegs, the piece has no drape. My pattern is specifically for Jumbo Pegs and the larger gauge of the Multi-Knit Loom.
