• uses about 650 yd of light fingering, fingering, sport yarn with (but appropriate for other yarn weights and different needle sizes too)
• requires circular needles (to accomodate all the stitches)

A pattern for a slightly different scarf; while most scarves are knit lengthwise, this one is knit widthwise (there are lots of stitches on your needles!). It works great with variegated yarn forming stripes, well, vertically:)

The scarf is not difficult to make, and it can be knit with any yarn on any needles - you can turn it into a light summer wrap with lace yarn on large needles, or into a warm winter scarf on needles recommended for the yarn you’re using.

The shawl is easy to resize.
