Vertigo Hat
Kitchener instructions: Please see our Kitchener Stitch tutorial for instructions on this technique.
From the Knit Picks Website:
This hat is knit sideways, using short row shaping on the crown rather than standard decreasing. The hat can be made either with or without a tassel. If you can’t stand weaving in yarn ends, the tassel is for you—no weaving required. If you don’t like the tassel look and don’t like weaving in ends you’re still in luck because the no tassel option leaves only 4 ends to finish weaving.

Gauge:
20 sts/29 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch.
NOTE: because this hat is knit sideways, the row gauge is most important to get accurate. Since the hat is knit in eight sections, you can check the gauge after the first section and make adjustments then.
Pattern provides special instructions for joining the beginning provisional cast on to the last edge.
