Vertos meaning versatile as this hat can be for Summer or Winter depending on which type of yarn you are using. A wool blend for winter or a linen or cotton for summer. It is also a great stashbuster as it takes less than 1 ball of DK yarn and enough for 12 rows in the
contrast colour. I used the leftover yarn from my Maglia Sweater pattern.

This hat is knitted seamlessly. Starting with a brim which is increased evenly in the round which is bound off with a contrasting colour. The stitches for the body of the hat are then picked up from the cast on edge of the brim and then worked in the round. The Royal Quilting pattern is then worked in a contrasting colour before decreasing for the top of the hat.
