THE VERY VERO SKIRT

CONSTRUCTION
The Very Vero Skirt is crocheted bottom-up in 2 panels and then seamed along the sides. A waistband and belt are added to cinch in the waist. Bobbles can be added as a trim on the bottom edge(s) of the skirt.

A FEW NOTES ON GAUGE AND SIZING
Every crocheter has a different tension. It’s more important that you meet gauge than stress over the recommended size hook or the recommended yarn. Always gauge swatch!!!

Gauge (blocked): 6 V sts x 9 rows (4 Gauge pattern repeats) = 4.5” x 4” swatch

The Very Vero Skirt is intended to have 1-3” of negative ease around the hips. The added waistband and belt allow you to cinch the skirt comfortably around the waist. Choose a size that is 1-3” less than your hip measurement (measured around the fullest part of your booty) to ensure the intended fit. Designer is 5’10”, has 48” hips, and is wearing a size 5 (45”).

4.25mm (US G) hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Beads for belt ends (optional)
Scissors
Darning/Yarn needle
Stitch marker
Tape measure

SUGGESTED YARN AND YARDAGE
Hobbii Rainbow Bamboo (Sport Weight). A sport or DK yarn in any fiber will do for this skirt, but be sure to match gauge to ensure the intended fit.
Yardage estimates are based on a maxi length version. If you choose to make a different length Very Vero Skirt, your yardage needs will differ.
