THE VERY VERO VNECK
Ready to see how sexy the granny stitch can be?? Then you gotta check out the Very Vero Vneck. Named after one of my favorite Florida beaches, The Very Vero Vneck is a fun and flirty granny stitch sweater with a deep V neckline and a wide variety of modifications. Use as many or few colors as you desire. Choose your favorite sleeve length to match your climate or style. Make yours with cotton and use it as a bikini coverup or stash bust with your leftover yarns. The possibilities are endless! Grab a cocktail and your supplies and get ready to become a Vero Vixen.
CONSTRUCTION
The Very Vero Vneck is crocheted bottom-up in 2 panels and then seamed at shoulders and along the sides. Stitches are picked up for sleeves and are crocheted in the round. Bobbles are added as a trim around the waist and wrists, and I-Cord ties are attached to the back to keep the Vneck in place.
A FEW NOTES ON GAUGE AND SIZING
Every crocheter has a different tension. It’s more important that you meet gauge than stress over the recommended size hook or the recommended yarn. Always gauge swatch!!!
Gauge (blocked): 6 V sts x 9 rows (4 Gauge pattern repeats) = 4.5” x 4” swatch
The Very Vero Vneck is intended to have 3-5” of positive ease around the bust and is cropped to hit at the natural waist for a slightly boxy, comfortable fit. The upper arm circumference has a positive ease of 5.5” giving the sleeves a wide, belled out look. Choose a size that is 3-5” more than your bust to ensure the intended fit. Designer is wearing a size 4, is 5’10” tall and has a 41” bust.

SUGGESTED YARN AND YARDAGE
Hobbii Amigo (DK weight). A light worsted or DK yarn in any fiber will do for this top, but be sure to match gauge to ensure the intended fit.
Yardage estimates are based on long sleeve, cropped version. If you are adding/subtracting length to the body or sleeves, your yardage needs will vary.
