Vesper Sweater
I designed the Vesper sweater because I couldn’t find anything like this in the stores. I wanted something that looks Nordic, but not too traditional at the same time.
The largest motif on the yoke I found in a Hungarian knitting book from the seventies, that I inherited. The rest of the motifs are inspired by my homecountry Finland.
I named the sweater Vesper in remembrance of the lady who gave me the knitting book.
NOTES
This is a cozy sweater with a long turtleneck and timeless colorwork, knitted top down. Meant to be worn with approx 3 cm of negative ease. (If you want a less fitted sweater, go up a size.)
Uses the Tubular Cast On and Bind Off for a smooth finish.
Short rows are worked into the neck ribbing.
