Vespertine
Vespertine: relating to, occurring, or active in the evening.
A vespertine flower is one that opens at night, flourishing in the dark.
This shawl is a large, lace, triangle shawl that is accentuated by a garter stitch border in a contrasting colour. I have opted to use a dark blue for the body, with the border being in a pink/red, which reads to me how these flowers bloom. I recommend choosing two contrasting colours to create a more distinct colour story. The contrasting colour is brought in with a couple of striped sections at the end. The stripes end with garter stitch, allowing for the final moments of the shawl to be meditative and hypnotic.
