Vesta is a triangular shawl knit from the center back down from a garter tab. There is a 3-stitch garter center spine and a 3-stitch garter border on each side, separated from the body by yarn-overs. The pattern is an all-over textural combination of stitches that are simple to remember.

You can knit entirely from the written instructions or follow the detailed charts if you prefer. Gauge is not critical.

Vesta is suitable for an intermediate beginner but accomplished knitters will enjoy the pattern as well. The finished shawl is perfect for your shoulders on cold mornings or to accent an outfit.

The shawl is knit with two skeins of DK yarn but the pattern can easily be increased in size. Solid or tonal yarn are suggested to show the texture of the pattern.

Materials needed - two skeins of DK yarn, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, 4 stitch markers, blocking pins.
