A classic ribbed beanie with a fold-over brim.
Knitted in a combination of pure wool and kid mohair to create a snug, warm and functional accessory with a stylish finish. Fitted shape with wide brim that can be worn folded or unfolded.

2 (2) skeins of Pernilla by Filcolana (50g = 175 m / 191 yards) (100% virgin wool) and 1 (1) skein of Tilia by Filcolana (25g = 210 m / 229 yards) (70% kid mohair, 30% silk).
For the dark chocolate version, we used Pernilla in colourway “201” and Tilia in colourway “325”. For the cream version, we used Pernilla in colourway “977” and Tilia in colourway “100”. Alternative yarns (Same yardage) :
One strand of Recycled tweed by Sandnes Garn (50g = 175 m / 191 yards) (80% fine wool 20% cashmere) and one strand of Tynn silk mohair by Sandnes Garn (25g = 210 m / 229 yards) (57% mohair, 28% silk and 15 % wool).

One strand of Tweed by Isager (50g = 200 m / 218 yards) (70% wool, 30% mohair) and one strand of of Silk mohair by Isager (25g = 212 m / 231 yards) (75% super kid mohair, 25% silk).
or
One strand of Semilla Melange GOTS by BC Garn (50g = 175 m / 191 yards) (100% wool) and one strand of Silky Kid by Kremke (25g = 210 m / 229 yards) (72% mohair, 28% silk).
NEEDLES
3 mm / US 2.5, 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” circular needles.
A pair of DPNs, 3 mm / US 2.5.
GAUGE
After blocking: 31 stitches x 33 rounds = 4x4” /10x10 cm on 3mm /US2.5 needles in ribbing worked in the round.
Gauge is crucial for this project. Make sure you achieve gauge by changing needle size if necessary.

Beanie size 1 circumference measures 40 cm / 15.5”.
Beanie size 2 circumference measures 45 cm / 17.5”.
Please note that the beanie is knitted in ribbing and it’s very elastic.
As a reference, the model wears size 1 and head measurement is 55 cm / 21.5”.
