One of a kind crocheted works of art with a fresh boho influence….
The MAGIC of Color & Crochet!
I honestly didn’t expect the world situation to develop as it has, but things are what they are, and times are certainly trying. My eldest son said that he and his coworkers have been talking a great deal about being “drafted”, and they know many who are already enlisted and prepping to ship out….
So, for them?
Seeing a bit of the Red, White and Blue is just what they needed.
With this in mind,
I’m not sure if y’all will consider this to be a timely release or not, but here it is:
The “Betsy Ross” Collection
This is a collection of crochet block patterns in various sizes and a small dog sweater in the same patriotic theme, with a focus on a central Celtic knotwork.
“The Patriot”….13 inch Crochet Block
“The Veteran”…..13 inch Crochet Block
“Honor”…..7.5 inch Crochet Block
“Courage”……8 inch Crochet Block
“Star Spangle Banner”…..small Dog Sweater/Costume Crochet Pattern
Crochet
Hook: G
Skill Level: Intermediate
Yarn: Yarn: DK/Aran Weight/4
As always, I used the “I Love This Yarn” from Hobby Lobby, with a special inclusion of the metallic sparkle in red/silver and ivory/gold.
Description & Information:
Celtic Lovers Knot wrapped in variations of Red, White & Blue, with a border of 5 loop Clusters to represent “Stars”. These same Clusters are used in the “Star Spangled Banner” small Dog Sweater.
Due to the puzzling nature of the Celtic Lovers Knot, I thought a brief video demonstrating their construction might be interesting for some. It’s not as hard as it looks at first: three rings, built around each other.
The attaching posts take a bit of focus and attention to detail, so I’m including a chart diagram and video within the purchased pattern to help explain.
Want a sneak peek?
The Wand Weaver Channel on Youtube presents: The “Betsy Ross” Collection of Crochet Patterns
First part is a demonstration of the 3 rings being made,
the last portion shows the designs within the “Betsy Ross” Crochet Pattern Collection,
and the very, very end has a Dexter Dawg moment in his new wee coat.
