Vextra Fingerless Gloves/Wrist Warmers
These fingerless gloves/wrist warmers are part of my Vextra collection inspired by a midcentury sweater pattern I knit in 2025. I hope you enjoy making them.
Each glove is worked flat with intarsia colorwork. You will need to prepare 2 bobbins of the main color, and 1 bobbin each of 3 contrasting colors.
Yarn: 4 colors in Worsted/Aran weight (#4), denoted in the pattern as MC (Main Color) and CC1-CC3 (Contrasting Colors 1-3), totaling 115 (131, 153) yds or 107 (122, 142) m.
- Main Color (MC): 85 (100, 120) yds or 78 (92, 110) m
- Contrasting Color 1 (CC1): 13 (14, 15) yds or 12 (13, 14) m
- Contrasting Color 2 (CC1): 10 (10, 10) yds or 10 (10, 10) m
- Contrasting Color 3 (CC1): 7 (7, 8) yds or 7 (7, 8) m
After binding off, the glove is seamed using the mattress stitch, leaving an opening for the thumb.
The chart and pattern are provided in 3 sizes, denoted in stitch counts as M (L, XL) to measure approximately 7 ½” (8 3/8“, 9 ¼”) or 19 cm (21.25cm, 23.50cm) with ½” to 1” (1.25cm to 2.50cm) of negative ease. Choose a size that is slightly smaller than the widest measurement around the hand.
