This crochet pattern is for a nice thick laptop sleeve with an optional small accessory case for your power cord and mouse. I designed this pattern with a really fun v stitch design that creates a durable and very cushioned crochet case for your laptop.

The case measures approx. 16 in. by 12 in. and should fit a standard size 15 to 16 inch laptop. It fits both my laptop and my son’s laptop - the case does have a small amount of stretch if your laptop is a little bigger. The small case is 7.5 in. wide by 6 in. tall, perfect for the power cord and the mouse.

Yarn used for this project is basic acrylic yarn from Hobby Lobby - the I Love this Yarn. Any similar weight acrylic yarn will work for this case. You will need 5 coordinating or contrasting colors. The whole skein will not be used, only about a third of each skein so you will have some left for another project. You will also need 3 large buttons, size specified in pattern.

Hook size used is a US K. The stitches you will need to know are single crochet, skipping stitches, and long double crochet. Long double crochet is explained in the pattern in detail and with some photos on how to do the stitch. The pattern stitch is a 4 row repeat and is a lot of fun to crochet. It is also a pretty quick project to complete - can easily be done in a week or less.
