Viburna
This pattern can be found in issue 12 of Laine Magazine.
Viburna is knitted in fingering weight yarn and with a bit of positive ease making it a versatile piece for layering or for spring and autumn. It is knitted from side to side, starting at the cuff of the right sleeve, wandering across the body and ending at the cuff of the left sleeve like a jaunt across a landscape of fields and hedges. Panels of rice stitch, a knobbly texture stitch, and a slipped stitch pattern, which has a woven quality, alternate in wide stripes across the garment and are intersected by narrow garter stitch panels running horizontally along the whole knit. If you like to roll up your sleeves and get on with stuff you will find that the rice stitch pattern forms a beautiful pattern also on the WS.
