The inspiration behind the Victoria Sweater came from the old knitting magazines that marked my early knitting years. I wondered how I could modernize the constructions, and yet keep this vintage look that I find very beautiful and put together.

The sweater is knitted from the bottom-up, in the round and seamless. A nod to these vintage patterns: a small pleat at the shoulder and the shape of the armholes, which recalls the traditional shape of a set-in sleeve (yes, it is seamless). Instead of a traditional ribbing, I chose a faux cable detail for all borders. The centre panel is simply lace and faux cable.
