Victoria Vest
I had this petrol-coloured yarn for years but felt no design was pretty enough to use it. Finally I thought a classic and feminine vest could be pretty enough, so I went for the details; ruffles, buttons and cables.
This vest is worked top-down, starting from the back which is worked flat with a simple cable at the centre. Then you pick up stitches at the shoulders and work the front V. After that the vest is worked in the round until the bottom finish. The ruffle and buttons are added afterwards and are only for decoration; there are no button holes.
Notions:
3.5mm circular needles 80 cm/32’’ and 100 cm/40”.
Scrap yarn for holding stitches. Markers.
Optional: 7-10 buttons depending on size (length).
Testers rated pattern difficulty 4/10.
