Vidzeme, Rembate, p 64
This ethnographic mitten is notable for a cuff that dates back to the 18th Century with its knit/purl rows combined with the use of monochrome half braids surrounding the picot detail. The graph is related to those on p. 92 and p. 94 from Prauliena in another region within Vidzeme.
At 88 stitches and with a gauge of 10 spin, it will fit an 8” hand. Changes in needle size or yarn will influence the gauge: check your gauge in pattern before you cast on.
Rembate sits southeast of Riga near the Daugave River.
