Pattern Notes
View from Felix’s Work Room begins with a provisional cast on and is worked as a tube in the round following the charts provided. The “front” features a picture while the “back” features a brief message. On completion of the stranded colourwork, loose ends are knotted inside and stitches are picked up around both the front and back of the postcard. A border is worked in the round on both front and back, with increases at each corner. A three needle bind off joins the borders together to finish the postcard.
Gauge & Needles
29 sts/31 rounds to 10cm/4” over colourwork pattern using gauge-size dpns or your preferred length of circular needle(s) for working small-diameter projects in the round. Sample knit with 2.5mm (UK 13-12/US 1½) needles for the main colourwork part of the postcard. An additional set of gauge-size needles is necessary for working
the front and back borders; sample knit with 2 x 2.5mm (UK 13-12/US 1½) circular needles, 60cm/24” length. Work and block
a swatch in the round or make a single Postcard as your gauge swatch.
