This pretty, lacy scarf is suitable for any lightweight yarn. The main body is stockinette interspersed with little eyelet daisies. There is a garter V upper trim, and a lacy leaf lower border with pretty points. The pattern is worked from side to side so that you never have hundreds of sts on the needle at the same time (61 sts is the maximum).

In light fingering, the finished, blocked scarf or shawlette is 10” x 70” (25.5cm x 178 cm). Instructions are given to make the scarf longer or shorter, if you wish, which will help it adapt to other lightweight yarns, such as lace, fingering, or sport.

Stitches Used:
K, P, K2tog, ssk, yo, skbf (a kfb variation), K3tog, CDD (central double decrease), short rows, w&t (wrap & turn), provisional CO

Materials:

  • light fingering wool, about 395 yards, or use any other lightweight yarn (yardage varies)
  • size US 2.5 (3.00mm) needles, or needles to match your yarn
