This little Viking Gnome is a soft toy that’s easy to make with just a few colours. You’ll need around 50g or less of each colour.

Worked flat and made using basic knitting techniques. Made mostly in stocking stitch with simple increases and decreases. Parts are seamed and then sewn together.

When finished this little chap measures approximately 8.5 inches to the top of his helmet horns.

You will need a length of crafting wire around 3 inches long.

You’ll need DK yarn in the following colours: -

White
Grey
Brown
Orange
Skin colour yarn
Black

I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn but any yarn should work.

Viking gnome does not stand independently. You will need to attach to a base or use weighted item inside the body.
