VIKING SLIPPER-SOCKS
Warm and cozy cuffed slipper-socks, fast and fun to work.
The special knit stitch with the simple white pattern, gives a traditional look to this design.
The knit-stitch, AKA Split single crochet, or Waistcoat stitch, requires a minimum of practice.
The trick is light gauge.
The instructions are based on a short cuff. Instructions are included for how to adjust for sock length, or even to knee-high, see photos, and all the gorgeous Vikings my customers and testers have made:

AMOUNT:
Depending on size, based on a short cuff:
About 100 g (3.6 oz)/ 2 skeins gray (140 m/160 yd).
Pattern: About 40 g (1 oz) of white.
CROCHET HOOK:
7 mm ( US K/10.5 - L/11), or any size obtaining gauge in the pattern.
SIZES:
Small = US 2 - 4 / EU 34-36
Heel to toe: 7 3/4 - 8 1/4 in (20-21 cm)
Medium = US 5 - 6 / EU 37-38
Heel to toe: 8 3/4 - 9 in (22-23 cm)
Large= US 7 - 8/ EU 39-40
Heel to toe: 9 1/4 - 9 3/4 in (24-25 cm)
X Large = US 9-10 / EU 41-42
Heel to toe: 10 - 10 3/4 in (26-27 cm)
