The shawl in the pictures is knitted in Ullcentrums Öland 2: stringy wool with circular needles no. 3.5, 40 cm, 80 cm, 120 cm and 150 cm. The shawls dimensions is 105x270 cm.
The shawl can be made in 2 ways. If you are a talented knitter: knit along the graph with 4 colors. I have chosen to embroider sails and boats shields with cross stitch. That way is be a bit easier. Then I did so that I first knitted shawl with the blue base color and patterns for boats. Later when the shawl is knitted finished, I have embroidered the sails.
