Vincent van Goat Amigurumi
Meet Vincent, Vincent van Goat!
As with all my patterns, I try to minimize sewing pieces together (because I hate doing that). The legs, body, and head are one piece, and the only sewing required is for the ears, horns, and tail. The PDF is 8 pages, with written instruction and pictures and diagrams for clarification.
Difficulty: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate (because of some non-standard joining techniques and color change)
Techniques: Basic crochet stitches, increases, decreases, and magic ring, but the construction and some joining techniques are a little more advanced, hence the Advanced Beginner to Intermediate difficulty level.
Materials:
Yarn: Worsted weight, about 120 yards (MC), 20 yards (CC), and a bit of black for embroidering the nose.
Hook: US E/4 (3.5 mm)
Tapestry needle for sewing in ends and stitching pieces together
2 safety eyes or beads (I used 9mm safety eyes)
Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
Poly Pellets for weighing down the body (optional, but ensures the head doesn’t tip over)
Size: Approximately 6.5” tall (not including horns) using worsted weight yarn. If you choose to use other weights, the size will vary.
This pattern is for personal use, please do not duplicate or distribute in any way, shape, or form. But feel free to sell your finished items to share the love. All I ask is to please refer back to me as the pattern’s author.
