Inspiration
All my patterns have geographical names. This simple, minimalistic and gender neutral cowl maches VINCI HAT inspired by one of the most amazing people in history - Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo was the out-of-wedlock son of a Florentine legal notary and he got his last name after the place where he was born - a small town Vinci in Toscany, Italy.
About the pattern
This cowl is really easy and fun to knit - in my opinion it could be your very first knitting pattern. Simple, minimalist and gender neutral piece become perfect addition to your winter wardrobe. Easy enough to work your way through without problems and interesting enough to caught attention when it’s finished.
Yarn
Pattern is designed to use up 100 g ball of yarn and knits up with almost no leftovers, but gauge is not cruical - you could weight yarn used for Ribbing and pattern repeat and work as long as you have enough. This is perfect pattern for all those single skeins in your stash :) For yarn substitution choose yarns with high wool content, non-superwash if possible.
For the sample I used up the 2 whole skeins of Pickles Mjuk Merino in colorway Petrol with almost no leftovers.
