This flattering design, part of the Vine Divine collection, fits everyone and looks great in either one color or many. For best results, please follow all instructions exactly. To alter the size, change your gauge by using a different weight yarn, different size needles, or both.
The gauge is 2.25 sts = 1” on size 11 needles, 2.5 sts = 1” on size 13 needles, and 2.0 sts = 1” on size 15 needles with Lucci “Alkonost”, a chunky yarn. If you desire a larger or smaller capelet, use a heavier or lighter yarn, larger or smaller needles, or both. The numbers of stitches and rows must remain the same in order for the entire pattern not to be thrown off.

Here is what you will need:

Yarns – add 1 extra skein for X-Large

Solid Capelet: 5 skeins Lucci “Alkonost” chunky-weight yarn @ 100 yds.

Multicolor Capelet: green – 4 sk @ 100 yds (add 2 skeins if making hooded version)
multi – 25 yds each of 3 colors
gold – 75 yds

For all versions: Needles size 11 (small), size 13 (medium), size 15 (Large), size 17 (X-Large) or size to obtain desired gauge

I also recommend a magnetic board to mark your rows and help you keep your place.

Each garment can have either a shawl collar or a high neck. You need to first decide which you would like your garment to have; this determines how you cast on.
