The Vineland Toque can be knit as a close-fitting watch cap or, by working more repeats, as a slouchy. The pattern is designed to by worked either as a faire isle colorwork or be using the slip-stitch method where each pattern round of the chart is worked twice: Once with the Contrast Color – working only those stitches shown for the contrast color and slipping stitches designated as main color. The second time the round is worked with the Main Color – slipping stitches that are designated as contrast color. Be sure to maintain a relaxed spacing between stitches to ensure a comfortable fabric. You may need to use a larger needle to maintain gauge.

This is a charted pattern that begins with a ribbed brim and then is worked following charts for the colorwork.

Size: As shown - 20.5 in/52 cm circumference. The charted pattern can be resized by reducing/adding columns of background stitches between the motifs or by changing your needle size.
