The design for these knee-highs was inspired by pictures of garments from Eastern Europe at the turn of the 20th century. The shaping pattern was adapted from an embroidered shirt from Russian, and the stripe from a border on a knitted sweater from Latvia. They are named “Vineyard” because the design and colours remind me of orderly fields of grapes in the sun.
