“Vining Roses” is a crescent shaped shawl with cropped ends. The rose pattern on a knitted lace fond resembling thread crochet constitutes a single whole design that can not be adjusted in size by adding or omitting elements.

Stitches are increased along the side edges of the shawl and to the left and to the right of the center stitch. An odd number of flower motifs in the shawl is being achieved by the addition of a triangular center insert bearing another flower motif.

Finished size: center height 90–95 сm, upper edge 180–195 сm.

Needles: Circular needles US 0 – 2 mm (or US 2½ – 3 mm) , 100 – 120 cm (40 to 48 inches) long

33 page pattern is charted with detailed explanations. For better readability, charts are divided into sections which have to be pasted together before begin of work.

Note: In some of the test knit photos, the cropped ends have been blocked to pointy again. If you work according to instructions, they will look more cropped.

There have been questions whether it is possible to put more beads on this design. This is quite easy - you can place additional beads (or even Swarovski crystals) around the rose buds, and if you have transparent beads, those can be placed at random all over the flowers and leaves to resemble dew drops.

Hinweis: Auf einigen Teststrickfotos wurden die gekappten Enden doch wieder beim Spannen herausgezogen. Nach Anleitung gearbeitet und entsprechend gespannt, sind sie gekappt, nicht spitz zulaufend.

Es hat Anfragen gegeben, ob es möglich wäre, noch mehr Perlen auf diesem Tuch unterzubringen. Wer sich daran wagen möchte, kann zusätzliche Perlen rund um die Knospen anbringen, oder, wer durchsichtige Perlen hat, kann diese nach Belieben auf den Blüttenblättern und Blättern anordnen, damit es wie Morgentau aussieht.
