Vintage Crochet Floral Collar
Vintage Crochet Floral Collar - CityStyle Crochet Pattern No. 30
This listing is for a PDF PATTERN ONLY not the finished item.
PATTERN DETAILS: From its lacey edging to its multi-layered flower applique, leaves and dainty flower blossom ties, this vintage style crochet collar makes a perfect accessory for that special wedding or prom day - or for any day you just want to feel special! For the bride, make it all in white; for a true vintage look, use ivory. Or coordinate the flower color to your bridesmaid or prom dress. And you can make this feminine accessory even more special with embellishments of purchased pearls, beads or buttons. This versatile pattern offers many options.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: approximately 13” (33 cm) x 2-1/4” (5.72 cm), excluding ties, excluding self-ties.
SKILL LEVEL: I would rate this pattern as EASY +. The body of the collar is worked in rows, using basic stitches. The collar edging and self-ties are worked all in one round. Both the rose embellishment and tie blossoms are worked in rounds.
MATERIALS: The featured yarn is Knit Picks® Comfy Fingering Yarn, which is blend of 75% cotton, 25% acrylic and has a crochet gauge of approximately 21-32 sc = 4” (10 cm) when using a size B/1 (2.25 mm) thru E/4 (3.5 mm) hook. You will need one 218 yard (193.3 m) ball each of ivory, pink and green to complete the pictured collar. If you wish to create your collar using just one color, you will need only 1 ball.
You will also need:
- Crochet hook, size E/4 (3.5 mm) or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
- Tapestry needle for working in yarn ends.
- Purchased Embellishments such as pearls, beads, or buttons (optional).
