This pattern was recreated from a photo of a vintage Irish Crochet jacket seen in a resale shop in Oakland, CA. The original center was made similar to a spiral. I had some technical help from Maire Treanor while attending a 4 day workshop in Berkeley, CA. These instructions assume you know the basics of Irish Crochet, including working in the round and with padding cord. The pattern was tested by a Ravelry friend, frankiedavis.
