Vintage Knitted Necklace
The Vintage Knitted Necklace pattern is perfect for beginners but has a more advanced look. Using only garter stitch, it can be knitted up in several hours. Using DK weight yarn, it ranges between 18-19” in length depending on the yarn and tension used. The result is a lovely, soft necklace that lies well on the neck. It is truly one of a kind, perfect for those who have difficulty wearing metal jewelry.
To complete the necklace you need roughly 30 yards of yarn for the body of the necklace, 2 yards each for the rosebuds and various beads and sequins for embellishments. Optional are a small button for closure and a G or H crochet hook. You may also just sew the necklace together at the back.
Once familiar with the pattern, it can be used with different yarns to create exciting new looks. Using a thin yarn would produce a delicate necklace and a thicker yarn would yield a bulky scarf!
