My grandmother made these potholders many many years ago. She still uses hers today! Last time I saw her she mentioned she wanted bigger potholder, because her hands are shaky and as she is getting older things like holding a hot pan are getting a little more difficult. Also, she can’t make them herself anymore because of her arthritis. Next month (september ‘17) she will turn 88 and so these potholders are a birthday gift for her. I hope she likes the colors!

This is what you’ll need:

4ply cotton yarn, 2 colors. For 2 potholders I used up 3 skeins of 50gr (121m/397ft) of the main color and 1 skein for the second color.
