There are many different makes and models of vintage tractors around, and this pattern can be adapted to look like most of them, with a few simple colour changes or alterations to the radiator grill, exhaust pipe or headlights. This one is based on a Fordson Major and was knitted especially for a tractor-crazy farmer! His doesn’t have headlights but you could use buttons, or crochet or knit headlights instead, especially if the recipient is young. I crocheted a chain and sewed it into a circle for the steering wheel, but you could use a black button instead. The finished tractor measures approximately 15cm/6” long and 9cm/3.5” high and wide
