Vintergata
Vanten Vintergata är en rymlig och bred vante som passar fint till en lite större hand. Förslagsvis en
mindre manshand eller större kvinnohand. Har du liksom jag ganska små händer så är den en helt
perfekt vante att bära med ett par tunnare fingervantar under för extra värme. Vill du ha en mindre
vante passar den utmärkt att tova till en mindre storlek. Vantens längd är anpassningsbar. Vanten
stickas med en lång mudd som värmer handlederna och en tumkil som ger en bra passform.

Garn:
Rauma finull eller annat tvåtrådigt ullgarn på ca
350-400 m /100g.
Färg A: Blå 50 g
Färg B: Vit 40 g
Stickor:
Strumpstickor 2,5 mm. Eller så att du får rätt
masktäthet.
Masktäthet:
30 m = 10 cm
Storlek:
Bredd: Mudd 10cm. Hand efter tumkil 12 cm
Längd: Mudd 5,5 cm. Hand, anpassningsbar.
Obs: Gör en provlapp och stäm av
stickfastheten. Små avvikelser kan göra stor
skillnad på storleken. Jag stickar tajt så om du
vet att du stickar löst är det möjligt att du
kommer behöva gå ned i stickstorlek.

The Vintergata mitten is a spacious and wide mitten that fits a slightly larger hand. Preferably a smaller male hand or larger female hand. If, like me, you have rather small hands, it is an absolutely perfect mitten to wear with a pair of thinner finger gloves underneath for extra warmth. If you want a smaller mitten, it is perfect to felt to a smaller size. The length of the mitten is customizable. The mitten is knitted with a long cuff that warms the wrists and a thumb gusset that gives a good fit.
Vintergata (whinter street) is the Swedish word for the milky way.

Yarn:
Rauma fine wool or other two-stranded wool yarn of about 350-400 m /100g.
Color A: Blue 50 g
Color B: White 40 g

Needles:
double pointed needles 2.5 mm, or whatever size you need to get the right gauge.

Gauge:
30 sts = 10 cm (4 inches)

Size:
Width: Cuff 10 cm (4”). Hand after thumb gusset 12 cm (4,7”)
Length: Cuff 5.5 cm (5”). Hand, adaptable.

Note: Make a test patch and check the gauge. Small deviations can make a big difference in the size. I knit tightly so if you know that you knit loosely, it is possible that you will need to go down in size.
