Vintervinge
Vingervinge is a lace stole that is worked as a rectangle with three columns of lace. The first shawl I did with this pattern was in white 2 ply wool, and it looked like frosty birds climbing white ladders. Hence the name Vintervinge which is Swedish for ‘winter wing’.
The pattern is very easy to follow. I usually say: If you know how to count to six and if you know how to decrease and do a yarn over, you can do this in the car or in front of the telly.
You can make this shawl in any lace or fingering weight yarn, as long as you remember to use a needle size that is considerably bigger than recommended.

Uploaded a new version, EN_1.1 and SW_1.1. I had by mistake written that the CO should be 55 st. The correct number is 59. Thank you blog reader Anita for this!

The mistakes was not really the CO, even though Anita was right in that the chart – my mistake, again! – was not correct. The correct CO is 55, as several skilful and wonderful knitters have pointed out to me. And I have now released version 1.2. for both SW and EN. Sorry about the delay! And a happy 2015 to you all!
