Violaceous
Violaceous is a subtle lace chevron pattern with dramatic impact. The word itself is an adjective for purple and a kind of play on words for the name of this scarf: “delicious violet lace scarf.” I’m making mine in only in shades of violet and red, but feel free to work this pattern up in your own colors.
This is in Rowan Kidsilk Haze but any light airy lace weight yarn should work just fine.
It is definitely a tight fit on straight/scottish needles but still possible due to the weight of the yarn. Circular would probably be better but they’re not what I prefer to knit with.
