A lacy placemat in knot stitch, with violets sewn on top. Shown on the front cover.
Materials:
- J. & P. Coats or Clark’s O.N.T. Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet Thread, Size 30: Approx. 650 yards White
- J. & P. Coats Tatting-Crochet Cotton: 1 ball each Medium Blue (or Purple or Violet), Dark Yellow and Dark Green
- Steel crochet hook size 10 (for placemat)
- Steel crochet hook size 14 (for violets)
If desired colors cannot be found in tatting thread, two strands of embroidery floss may be substituted.
