It’s a fun and addictive project. When you finish a round and see the work, you’ll be eager to knit the next one to see how the design continues.

The hat is knitted in one piece using circular needles, with twisted ribbing and a diamond pattern in smock stitch.

SIZE | MEASUREMENTS

One size. Fits a head circumference of approximately 53–58 cm.

The final measurements of the hat, unstretched, are 21 cm in height and 46 cm in circumference.

GAUGE
21 stitches and 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm with 5.00 mm / US 8 needles, in twisted rib stitch, worked in the round, after blocking, and measuring without stretching.

CIRCULAR NEEDLES
→ 5.00mm / US 8 or the size needed to obtain gauge.
→ 40 cm cable or you can use a longer one and knit with magic loop technique. For the crown (decreases of the hat), you will need to use double-pointed needles or magic loop.

SUGGESTED YARN
→ My Knitted Closet - The Silk Mohair:
2 STRANDS HELD TOGETHER. 75% Superkid Mohair, 25% Silk / 25 gr - 212 meters. You will need 1 ball.
→ My Knitted Closet - The Cotton Merino:
1 STRAND. 53% Merino, 47% Cotton / 50 gr - 125 meters. You will need 1 ball.

You can substitute the yarn and use any other with similar characteristics.
Keep in mind that a different gauge swatch may vary the amount of yarn needed.

NOTIONS
→ Cable needle or auxiliar needle to work the smock stitch.
→ Tapestry needle to weave in ends and close the hat at the end.
→ A stitch marker to indicate the beginning of the round.
→ Scissors.
→ Tape measure and/or ruler.

Es una labor entretenida y adictiva, al acabar una vuelta y ver el dibujo, necesitarás tejer la siguiente para ver cómo continúa el dibujo.

El gorro se teje de una sola pieza en agujas circulares, con punto elástico retorcido y formando un dibujo de rombos en punto smock.

TALLA | MEDIDAS
Talla única. Para una cabeza de entre 53 y 58 cm (tamaño estándar de mujer).

Las medidas finales del gorro, sin estirar, son 21 cm de alto y 46 cm de circunferencia.

MUESTRA
21 puntos y 24 vueltas = 10 x 10 cm con agujas de 5.00 mm / US 8, en punto elástico retorcido, tejido en circular, después de bloquear, y midiendo sin estirar.

AGUJAS CIRCULARES
→ 5.00 mm / US 8 o el tamaño necesario para obtener la muestra.
→ Cable de 40 cm o puedes usar uno más largo y tejer con la técnica magic loop.
Para la corona (disminuciones del gorro), tendrás que usar agujas de doble punta o magic loop.

HILO SUGERIDO Y CANTIDAD UTILIZADA
→ My Knitted Closet - The Silk Mohair:
A DOS HEBRAS. 75% Superkid Mohair, 25% Seda / 25 gr - 212 metros. Necesitarás 1 ovillo.
→ My Knitted Closet - The Cotton Merino:
A UNA HEBRA. 53% Lana merino, 47% Algodón / 50 gr - 125 metros. Necesitarás 1 ovillo.

Puedes sustituir los hilos y usar cualquier otro de características similares.
Ten en cuenta que una muestra de tensión diferente puede variar la cantidad de hilo necesaria.

OTROS MATERIALES
→ Aguja auxiliar o de cables para poder hacer el punto smock.
→ Aguja lanera para rematar hilos y cerrar el gorro al final.
→ Un marcador para indicar el inicio de vuelta.
→ Tijeras.
→ Cinta métrica y/o regla.
