Visor beanie hat
The visor beanie is an original knit pattern inspired by the Baggy Green cap worn by our Australian Cricket Team.
The twisted texture of cross stitch patterns in the shapes of diamonds and arrows adds a stylish complexity to this sun visor cap.
Once the crown is completed in the round from the bottom up, the visor is added by picking up stitches along the lower edge. Short rows produce comfortable rounded edges on the visor that are designed to follow the natural curve of the head.
Instructions include supporting tables and charts designed to help you track each stage of your hat production.
One size fits most heads. You will need circular needles in sizes 4.0 mm and 5.0 mm (length 40 cm), a set of four 5.0 mm double pointed needles and 100g of standard LIGHT weight knitting yarn (No. 3). The visor requires a 19 x 9.5 cm (7½ x 3¾ inches) rectangle of template plastic or stiff millinery buckram fabric.
