The Vista cowl is worked in the round and doubled. The front is worked with both stranded color work and a diamond pattern with eyelets. The back lining is Stockinette stitch. Although the diamond pattern looks like a cable pattern, there is only one cable twist at the center. The diagonal lines are mainly worked in increases and decreases.

The doubled fabric blocks the wind, and the color lining gives the fabric extra color and texture. The Blue & White version of the cowl reminds me of porcelain; the Yellow & Gray version with hand dyed yarn looks warm—like hand-made pottery.

Vista was designed for the Tokyo Yarn Crawl event of 2024. I hope you enjoy this pattern with your favorite yarns and color combinations.

JP 5 (3.6mm) / US 4 (3.5mm),
40-60 cm / 16-23.5” circular needles
The same size (or smaller) spare circular needles for finishing (Kitchener st).

Notions
Size JP 6 (3.6 mm) / US E (3.5 mm) crochet hook and small amount of light fingering yarn for provisional cast-on, stitch marker, tapestry needle, cable needle (optional).

編み込み模様と透かし入りのダイヤ柄のネックウォーマーです。
ダイヤ柄の目が交差しているのは中心部のみで、交差模様に見える斜めのラインは２目一度と増し目で作っています。 透かし模様が入っていますが、ダブルになっているので風を通しません
この透かし模様から裏地の色が覗くことで奥行がある仕上がりになっています。 白と青で編んだカウルは磁器のように凛として、手染めの黄と青灰の毛糸で編んだカウルは土の器のようなぬくもりです。
