Vitral Cable Hat
This hat is worked from the top down, working in the round, and changing colors every other row. When using a yarn that changes colors on all odd rows it creates an effect of a solid cable stitch over an ever-changing colored background. After main hat is completed, the ribbing is made in rows attaching the ribbing to the hat as it is worked. The ribbing is a modified ribbing stitch that is more of a stable stitch than traditional back loop only rib stitches. Sizes in this pattern are of the actual finished measurements so that you can decide how much ease you want in your hat.
Included with this pattern is a video tutorial that shows how to do some of the more complicated techniques making this pattern reachable for advanced beginners who know the stitches and how to follow a pattern. It includes instructions for the first few rounds to help you start off, plus times are given in specialty stitches if you just want to skip to just those stitches.
