What says France more than the classic symbol, the Fleur de Lis? If you consider yourself a Francophile, this is the mitten for you. Knit it from the cuff up and choose two good contrasting colors. From the two French hens at the bottom to the royal crown at the top, you’ll be humming “La Marseillaise” before you know it!

Size: Adult medium
Needles: size 2, double pointed needles (you’ll need 4)
Yarn: Sport weight. You’ll need two skeins of contrasting colors. Larger needles and thicker yarn will yield larger mittens.
Gauge: 7 stitches X 8 rows = 1 inch

I used most of one skein for the background color and half a skein for the pattern color.
