Vivid Eon
Vivid Eon it’s a lacy triangular shawl, worked sideways for an asymmetrical shape. It is a one skein wonder that can reach 79 in (200 cm) of wingspan. This pattern is perfect to transform a precious skein of yarn into a big and remarkable shawl. The final cherry on the cake is that the fabric is completely reversible, for a bold but versatile accessory. Enjoy!
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
79 inches (200 cm) from side to side and 22 inches (56 cm) from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking).
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of Sassy Singles by Qing Fibre (100% merino; 437 yards 400m/ 100g) in “Hero” colorway.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) needles.
Other notions: Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.
GAUGE
14 st and 20 rows to 4” (10cm) in Cat’s Eye Stitch on US 6 (4 mm) needles after blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This shawl is worked flat from the right tip towards the left edge. Stitches are increased on one and decreased on the other side to give it its characteristic asymmetrical shape.
