I love reversible cables and after knitting this shawl, I believe you will too!

Next to a pretty lace panel, it becomes the perfect edging for a big squishy triangle of garter stitch. The overall simplicity of this shawl makes it a great relaxing project.

The 12 row repeat is easily memorized, so Vlecht would also be a great travel project, if, like me, you don’t like to have to follow a pattern when you’re on vacation or on a road trip.

What you’ll need

• 2 skeins of Riverside Studio Supersock or approximately 765 yards (700 m) of fingering weight yarn
• 3.5 mm (US size 4) circular needles
• Cable (auxiliary) needle - Stitch markers
• Yarn needle

Finished size
Asymmetrical triangle, approximately 69 in (175 cm) wingspan and 24 1/2 in (62 cm) deep, after blocking

Gauge
12 stitches and 16 rows = 2 in (5 cm) of garter stitch after blocking. Your gauge will influence the final dimensions of the shawl and the yardage needed.
